Definitely consider therapy, it could be more than an “attachment style”, it could be trauma related from childhood or another traumatic event
You need a professional to dig deeper with you
Can I ask, did something happen that made you feel let down or like you were a burden to people or is this a reel you play in your head, that you will be a bother to ask for a listening ear?
Yes multiple situations
This sounds similar to my situation. If you can, start small with texts or FB messages… “Hey cousin! Just reaching out to say hi! We haven’t seen each other in a while and wanted to see how you’re doing. How’s everything?”
This is just an example, but something like this keeps things light and text is (presumably) a low barrier to entry because you can progress to a call or in person meet. And you have to have something to talk about because you’re asking them to talk about themselves. Low pressure for you.
I understand anxiety comes with this, but if you want those relationships you have to start somewhere.
(I’m speaking to myself too…)
Good luck!!!
