Hey Fishbowl community! I currently work as a Sales Support Specialist with 3 YOE working at a SaaS company. My dream career is to work at Microsoft or Google. I am open to different opportunities that exceed 80k+ per year. I also have a BA in Business Admin. If anyone can refer me to a great remote position I would greatly appreciate it! 😀

I hav global entry ($100) and its worth the add to fee on pre check ($80). Have had no issue for 3 years since. But I’m a white male who was born here.
OP doesn’t want to get rounded up and sent to 🐊 Alcatraz
How’s being a naturalized citizen have anything to do with this. Just apply.
Speculating here: OP probably has family that are not citizens and they’re afraid their application for convenience may inconvenience their fam.
Similar situation. Took me 9 months of waiting but everything got approved in the end. Recently renewed it and used it. All good.
Takes forever to get it processed no matter what, took me a year to get through the process and card in hand, don’t think it matters whether you are naturalized or not, just takes a long time…

It took me under 3 weeks for me and my family.
Just go to the airport and say you wanna have an interview now
They’ll take you in
As noted by others, the process for scheduling an in-person appointment is the most time-consuming part.
I used an app called Global Interview (cost like $5) that gave me immediate push notifications for openings at nearby airports.
Yeah, it’s no biggie, i did interview on arrival for my two kids at JFK the year before Covid hit, was faster than waiting in the regular passport line!
Dunno but we were a bit worried about my similarly naturalized no criminal record spouse being hassled upon return from a trip - then basically walked straight in after a quick photo at immigration and no document check or human interaction whatsoever.
That’s a LOT (too much?) of faith to put in facial recognition.
Point is immigration/CBP doesn’t seem to be giving people issues in any kind of systemic way.
Got conditional approval for GE in 2 days as a foreigner (on an L1) and did the interview on arrival a week later. Why would it be an issue if they already decided to give you citizenship?
