-Any group wanting to cause harm to people or a specific group of people have no place in our country.
-Clearly our country is hurting and needs productive dialogue at the community, state, and national level from both sides.
-One side is never right. MSNBC, Fox News, and CNN are also rarely right.
-We’re in dire need of empathy and care for one another regardless of political views, race, geographic location, gender, etc.

If consumers prefer diversity in ads, wouldn't it make sense to have a more diverse industry? Why does agencies lack diversity?

Parents are deciding between moving to WVirginia vs Virginia at retirement to be closer to us based in fairfax (ideally be at 1 hour driving distance). They currently in the mid west but WVirginia appeals to them because of low taxes, low cost of living. We are also poc so appreciate some diversity.

What are some areas you would recommend both in Va and WV? What else should they consider prior to house hunting? Dad likes to garden/farm as well so looking for homes with large backyards. Tia!

Ladies: looking for gym recommendations. Me: mid-40s, out of shape mom. I have chronic acid reflux that does get in the way of workouts at times. Prefer strength training over cardio and small group settings. Mixed gender is fine, but I generally prefer a community of folks closer to my age. Does such a place exist?

Location: Tarrytown/ Westlake ideal. Can travel as far north as the Central Market on N Lamar and as far south as the Central Market off of Westgate.

Why are town Hall meetings so impersonal? They are all about awards / the number of people hired. I know FCB health is large, but we never hear from people who aren’t Executives. Last town hall, when discussing inclusion efforts, there were no people of color represented and one of the 4 pillars of diversity was centered around our “reputation as an organization” (that really rubbed me the wrong way). At my last agency those conversations were always led by people of color from every level.

My company (biotech start up >50 employees) are looking to collect diversity data about current employees to provide to candidates when they ask about the company as well as to investors. Any thoughts on whether this is industry standard? What roadblocks to be aware of? Advice on how to go about this as meaningfully as possible?

I have often wondered if being honest when I fill out EEOC / diversity forms if that limits me from new work / promotions. I used to be able to hide my disability, but it is progressive so now it's not as easy to hide. Thoughts?

I graduated from law school in 2019, followed by a 2 yr bk clerkship. I did the evening program. I really enjoyed law school, in spite of the microaggressions, the late nights, & crazy competition. Love all things diversity in the law. Anyway, currently looking for a position in NYC/DC area. 🤗

Counterpoint: I’m one of the few POC at a large agency and it’s really dope to be seen as an example of why agency diversity makes the work better. Any struggle outside of that is minor.
