I’m a Accen00b - just joined a couple weeks ago. But someone on my team told me that regional offices all organize their own thing for the holidays- some of the offices do a gift while others do a party, etc.
DC is not our HQ. It’s just where our CEO, CFO, and SE Lead are
We have a networking event every other week, I appreciate keeping holiday parties to family and friends outside of work only.
When I was in industry we had a holiday party without booze. A company party without booze is not a party, it’s a meeting.
This is hilarious....to read of course, not for you at the time.

i’ve been too plenty of holiday parties. extravagant and modest - i think it’s an ok time, but don’t care anymore. have it i’ll come. if not - who cares

I love a good party not at my expense. There are usually project parties, some office holiday parties - and in SF we usually throw a good may/June bash!
Accenture is cheap as hell. I wanted out as soon as I saw the POS computers they give us at orientation.
They have parties - trust me I am on pmo for a large project; it’s all about the description as well as covering costs across projects directly instead of Time reports. I am seeing more parties happening now before holiday rush. I like a community meeting and a quick happy hour - get some swag and I am a happy camper.
A11 - if this is such a big deal to you, why are you still here?
We had a holiday party??
