Which one to choose between Optum and Tiger Analytics for Data Scientist position? Where can I expect better data science domain expertise (In my previous companies I found very less understanding of Data Science practices as team)? Heared good things about both of these. Also hearing Tiger is expanding rapidly and getting some crap projects as well in the name of data science. Could someone put light on these things?

I had kids because I felt I would regret it otherwise (hitting a certain age blah blah), but not because I was in any way excited. The narrative is - loss of freedom, sleep, identity etc. who knew it’s actually pretty great?!
I’m early pregnant and I really appreciate this message!
I totally second this. People are so negative towards soon-to-be moms for some strange reason.
Omg, who told you all of the crappy stuff and none of the good?! I hope not while you were pregnant!
I guess I had a different experience while I was pregnant because it was right at the beginning of the pandemic and I literally saw three people the whole time. So never had unsolicited advice or opinions thankfully
Did you have kids in 2020? Bc parenting was super hard last year since parents lost all our support networks virtually overnight. Parenting when you can’t even go to the playground is fairly brutal.
That’s fair but I know I was more negative about parenting in 2020 than other years.
A waitress told my husband and I (while pregnant with my first): “When you have children, they break your heart everyday.”
We laughed—but she was right...
Yes. They do. But my heart is now at a Bigger-Stronger-Superhero-status that can handle the heart ache. 👊🏽
She forgot that part. To those that need to hear it: You got this.
So much yes! I ~actually~ had people say “don’t do it, it sucks” WHILE I had a bun in the oven. Fast forward to life with a 6-month old and I’m loving every minute of it. It’s a lot of fun and a welcome distraction during this pandemic. 🤩
@EL1 that’s just the tip of the iceberg! Im not saying it’s easy or that it’s not a drastic lifestyle change, but it’s all so worth it. Our baby has brought us so much joy.
Feeling the baby move for the first time in your belly, cuddling with your newborn in bed, first time he/she says mama, watching your kids grow, crawl, walk, dance and sing. Putting your kids to bed and having them give you a goodnight hug and kiss. Love my babies and want to have more!
Starting to feel my baby move! First baby! I feel so happy ❤️ our pregnancy wasn’t exactly planned but also not exactly unplanned since I was getting prepared to idea of trying for a baby next year manye lol. So I was freaking out when me and my husband found out it had happened! Literary panic mode and crying and fear. The moment I felt the baby tho and saw them move on at the ultrasound it’s just INSANE! Like nothing other.
I just find culture is very “mommy needs her wine”/ everything is so crazy/ you’ll never sleep etc. didn’t realize there are upsides too! 😂
I love being a mom but I do need my wine.
Being a mom has greatly enriched my life and made me a better person. I love my kids and I feel grateful every day that I get to have such a big role in watching them grow up.
Kids are super awesome and funny. Spot on truth!!

It’s amazing. But hard. I think sometimes many of us find it hard and just need to feel normal in our toughest moments. And assume the joyful aspect of it is assumed. But I can see how the negative talk can make expecting parents afraid or deter younger people from wanting kids. Probably needs to be a more balanced convo but if we’re keeping it real, it ain’t easy. And we would rather laugh about it vs cry
