Hi everyone! I have a few questions on submitting the visa appointment fee expense for reimbursement in DTE: Can we submit an expense for our spouse’s visa appointment (they’re on H4)? I am from India and in order to pay the visa fee I used the NEFT option to pay but the Indian bank account my brother’s. What receipt will be accepted in DTE? I don’t think there’s any receipt that we received. It was just my brother initiated the transfer from his Deloitte" class="linkified" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" >account.Deloitte

For me - I have 2 phones (also 2 computers - but think this is granted). Hard to handle at times, but worth it, easier to fight the bad habits. Work phone is put away after I’m done with the day. Boss has my other phone #, but made it clear that only text/call in case of emergency.
Depending on the culture of the team. How’s your boss/other members handling it? If they could get past the guilt - there’s no reason you should not. I never think that I’m more important than them to be that crazy. If everyone is constantly on, that’s a red flag. Maybe it’s time to think about jumping ship if you don’t feel your lifestyle fits. If none of the above, issue might be your own illusion.
I found that having something to do that occupies the time after work helps. Try out some sort of activity that engages you.
You have to make the choice within your self. No one can control your thoughts.
Break the habit. Go out and do something that doesn't involve tech. Have a nice dinner somewhere.
Put yourself first. It's really just a matter of valuing yourself and your needs as a human being before the needs of a company that would fire you and/or replace the very minute they need to
Honestly, I have always wondered how people do it. I can never turn it off. My friends get so mad when I bring my work phone to dinner. I think that is just how we are conditioned to be honestly. They all but beat it into us.
Since being in a job where I’m expected to be “on” 24/7, I’ve come to enjoy cooking more and more. Usually demands my full engagement/attention in order for the end product to be good and the repetitiveness of dish prepping feels therapeutic. Overall a great respite from work if only for sections of my post work night
