Hi fishes,
Anyone joined coforge recently? Any reviews for the same? Is it worth to join this organisation? They told me they are hiring for Santander bank account but still be having client interview before onboarding to project. Any idea on this account? Is it tough to crack client interview over there? Don't want to face long bench hours like it used to be in Publicis sapient which led to brutal lay off. Kinda sceptical to join as it is giving me Publicis sapient vibes.Coforge Coforge ltd

Amy,
I’m 60 recently divorced; was forced to close my business and just moved cross country. I’ve been looking for nearly 2 years and just now received my first interview. You might want to take it until something else comes up for you. Finding work at our age is much harder.
I'm from Africa, Nigeria, I'm 40 yrs old, an experience delivery logistics driver with Nigerian class G driver's license and also hold a Nigerian international passport with ten years validity, also have a degree in sociology... Seeking for an employment outside Nigeria with visa sponsorship. I need an employer to take me abroad and work in return to settle the expenses. Thank you.
I would take the job until something else comes better
I agree. I am also 57 and had a similar background, except I quit due to menopause issues. I've been looking for 3 years now. Tried many things just to get some money.. finding that most other jobs don't think strategically and think you're "wacked" for asking questions. It's been horrible. I was making 60k and can barely get $11 - 20 per hour. I have ended up helping my husband with his remodeling company and doing gig work. My 99 year old grand father helped me out. I never saw this coming in the work force. It's horrible!!!!!
If $18/hr covers your basic need I’d accept it
The low stress could be a big plus after your last job and you can still keep looking for better opportunities while having some stability
Take the $18 per hour job, the market is very tough and ageism is against you. Although the money is little it is better than nothing.
Take it and donate plasma as well. It could equal approx 7000$ per year. Of course you have to get there. Good luck
Only you know how urgently you need a job. Sometimes it is easier to get a job once you already have one. Think of it this way: "duties are so little and totally stres free," that gives you breathing room to find the opportunity you want. You can focus on finding a slam-dunk job and negotiate an excellent salary, rather than stressing about taking any job in your field.
Which work can I do to gain $15 per 24 hours
Please explain.
63 and 10 months when laid off. You will never get your past salary. I would start looking at the Blues plans, they only pay about 70% of what you got prior, but at least they will be happy to have good workers and you might land with an organization like I did that was voted best place in a state to work for 7 straight years.
Go for it. I recommend trying for Data Annotation (Tech} as well, you can do it from a laptop to make some more on your free time. But it's 1090 work so be careful with that
Hi, my name is Robert Roman. I’m a security officer for Griffin, security. I’m looking for a job that has more to learn. I live in Hudson North Carolina. Send me an invite and I’ll send you my resume.
a lot of people in your situation are down sizing and moving to other countries or RV parks. life is becoming unaffordable
“For now, take whatever is available to cover your expenses, but don’t stop searching for the opportunity that truly satisfies you.
Hi Amy: Trying to find a job when you're older at the "right"pay is extremely difficult. It takes a lot of patience and hoping if you're interviewed you are not judged by your age, but by your experience. If you are retired like me, I find it's easier to take a job part-time not less than $15-18 per hr. I'm already getting a pension and SSA but because I'm not 67, taking PT jobs or contracts keeps me above water. It's a shooting match out there, my advice, be careful what you except.
take what they offer. . a job is better than no job
Guess depends if you still have any debts to manage, otherwise can accept the offer to have some income, perhaps even opportunity to mentor/coach within the new company. While continuing to jobsearch.
Amy, I feel many companies are discriminating based on age I get multiple emails from companies that see my extensive experience but when they see my age, somebody else always gets the job.
This is true for the private sector, as well as government agencies.
Amy, A bird in the hand is better than 2 in the bush...take this opportunity for now & keep looking. I've always heard that is easier to find a job when you already have one than when you are unemployed. Best of luck to you!!!
You have to weigh tge benefits and the commute. Then think you could retire at 62 possibly....then consider the stress level... and I agree salarys are rough out there and then the work is way more than 18.00....
I've worked at Travis Hill School as a science teacher ,I bought the biology test score thats required from the Leap2025 up by 90%. I did my job. I wasn't offered a contract and when other employers call Travis Hill for a reference they would tell them not to hire me . It's not the school principal it's the leadership.
I was let go by my former global employer a few months before my 60th birthday. The reason they gave me was RIF (Reduction In Force) and told me my role was being eliminated. They lied, as my job was transferred to MX for cheaper salaries. However, there are now 4 employees performing the same work I did all by myself the last 7-1/2 years with the company. My former teammates have also kept in touch and told me it's a shit show, and my responsibilities still aren't being done correctly, and it takes forever for them to get answers on simple things. It took me 6 months to find another job, and I had to take a 40% pay cut. Hubby & I got more strict with our budget, and only worried about the necessities. We didn't go out to eat or anything. Luckily, we were always smart and never lived beyond our means. If you've been looking for a long time, it might be beneficial to accept an offer at a lower pay scale, because it might be the only offer that comes around for awhile. JMO.
I'd take it and keep looking and/or start your own consultant business.
I would take the job (if you do not have any income) and just keep looking until you find what you want. Some money is better than no money.
