I put money in VTSAX which is a mutual fund vs. an ETF. Am I dumb?

They're taxed the same actually (VTSAX and VTI). So it doesn't matter unless you're buying this outside of Vanguard.

KPMG 1, I'll gladly take .01% of your assets every year if it's all the same to you :P (I did say it was minor)

The auto-investing point is a good one, though that doesn't scale with your total investment (since the only amount that doesn't get auto invested is the amount below one share), whereas the expense ratio does.

Makes no difference if you are at vanguard. If you are not at vanguard, I wouldn’t say you are dumb, because that would be rude. I would say you made an unwise decision.

Not dumb. Even can be good if you don’t want to be checking prices intra day.
Check the expense ratio.

Which service(s) do you use and can recommend to send money to India?

What’s the general guidance on the order to maximize retirement contributions for tax benefits for an normal individual and for a self employed/small business owner before moving to taxable accounts or alternate vehicles like cash value life policies?
I’ve seen for individual: match trad 401k->match roth 401k->max roth IRA->max trad IRA->max trad 401k->max roth 401k->max HSA
For self employed: max SEP IRA/solo 401k->max roth IRA->max trad IRA->max HSA

Of course situations differ but in general?

For the new lease, I'm still pending full approval from a condo association as I have to do an in person interview. I have paid first months rent in advance. Is there anyway to get that money back?

Interesting. Let’s see if the uptick In cases continues to drive an uptick in hospitalizations and then in fatalities. Depends on how many of the cases are incidental or in very young people not prone to severe cases. But either way, look at the hospital capacity utilization figures! This is the untold story. Were we bending the curve to avoid unnecessary deaths due to overcrowded hospitals, or were we bending the curve to buy time for treatments and vaccine, or just to slow fatalities?
