Getting updates that they are waiting for global team approval which is stuck due market conditions i believe. My LwD is arriving should I take Whatever offer i have which is comparatively less or ask company to retain as MS are not certain with when they can roll the offer out. Microsoft

If you can’t get it now then there may never be a better time.
If it’s 100% remote then DO IT!! Especially so you can be with him/her whne he’s a puppy or new rescue:)

-Take a week off when you get your pup. You will need to get them into a schedule. It’s like having a baby.
- Research everything and purchase a book “what should I know about being a first time dog owner”
- if you go to the office, consider hiring a dog Walker for mid day and/or doggy day care so your dog doesn’t get lonely/depressed when you’re gone
If you’re getting a puppy, get it while your remote. They mellow out with age
I had the exact same situation and got a puppy. Best decision ever. Do it!
Sorry. It's not fair to the dog.
We got one in the spring. He's wonderful fun but lots of time.
A dog lives a long time. If you can’t commit to prioritizing taking care of the dog for 10-15 years, it’s and absolutely terrible idea.
Don’t.
If you’re not 100% sure, try fostering first and see how it goes. It’s sad for the dog to be adopted and then to be given back to a shelter

I did not get a dog until my partner moved in and would be home every night to care for the dog when I was gone. before that I volunteered at a shelter walking dogs and temp fostering over holidays. It was great and low commitment
Thanks for the the encouragement. Ideally want to adopt. Any good breeds which are easy to train
, groom and good for apartment living?
Do not get hunting dog. They are so easily distracted by new scents. Will stop to sniff everything and anything on walks. Very inconvenient when you’re on a time budget
It’s easier than it seems. There’s a reason dogs have become so prevalent and that’s because they’re easy to take care of
I’m considering adopting a dog as well. First thing to read about is the characteristics of each dog breed and see which type suits you. And there are a number of quizzes online you can take which will tell you the type of dog that may suit your lifestyle.
