I recently joined Blackrock in tech and noticed something about a personal trading assistant and needing approval.
Does anyone know if we are allowed to personal trade? Im used to buying and selling options pretty regularly

You likely need to get pre approval for all trades you make from now on. They do this at my company too, and not doing so can get you fired.

like

30 day hold and you can’t participate in ipos where I’m at right now. Where I’m going after I put in my two weeks this week, I will need pre-clearance of all trades

OP all of these restrictions are fairly standard in the industry so the firm can make sure it’s employees don’t abuse MNPI

like

Yes. From custodial banks to top tier PE shops. They all have these rules in place

Probably a topic best covered with your compliance department... Also, you oftentimes have to move assets to an approved platform eg many firms do not allow Robinhood. Would chase down an answer there as well if you’re not using a well established discount broker

like

In my company you need preapproval and have to hold for at least 20 days

like

No, day trades are not allowed

like

I’ve heard the same. You need approval first. Which depending on the security, you can get within the day. But selling is where it’s difficulty. I’ve heard you can’t sell before 30 days. And need approval on for the sell as well. I would inquire about their personal trading policy. They should have a dedicated team just for that.

like

You’ll need to get preapproval through PTA prior to any trade.

like

BR1 is correct. Just search PTA on your genie. Have to hold for 60 days before realizing profits

You are not allowed to trade without approval. That applies to you and your wife if you have one. Most of the time, my request is denied without telling me why, unless you are trading ETF.

Hi! Pretty new to this concept, and really early within my career (only 3 months in). Currently on my company’s 401k plan, contributing well beyond the minimum to receive a match, and maxing the amount I can put in right now (25%). Dabbled a bit in options and stocks in general. Any advice, guides, or starting places you would give someone in my shoes? Thank you in advance!

Can someone help me with this? I had a low utilization since pandemic, I.e., ~sub 5%, but never missed any payments. Would credit score be impacted if only one line of credit with a low utilization?

Scores consider the number of accounts that are paid as agreed. Your score was impacted because the number of these accounts is too low, or because you've missed payments recently on some of your accounts.

My father took a home loan, and the same home is kept as mortgage.
I'm paying arround 22k emi for the same but unable to exempt tax as the loan is on my father's name.

I googled a lot how to transfer it but neither gift deed nor sale deed would work as the property is on mortgage that's under bank's ownership (until loan is fulfilled).
Tax is also getting deducted, I'm paying hefty emis.
What can I do?
Please advise 🙂
