I’m a nurse practitioner looking to make a complete career switch to consulting. I’ve seen a few healthcare consulting positions where I meet requirements but not a ton. I have interviews set up with McKinsey and Deloitte but I would love to know of any other consulting firms. I can’t seem to find anything at PwC, BCG etc. I have a master’s degree in nursing but no MBA. Please let me know if you have any advice on where to look for healthcare consulting opportunities!
I am switching from current MD position to Partnership this year. I have been taking firm’s tax preparation services. I am curious to learn from this group if it is common to use firm’s tax services for Partner taxes or an outside tax consultant. My asset situation isn’t complex (couple of US and international properties in home country).

As I am already aware that I have been recruited for Client Implementation, so mostly will be on Clients place as a Manager Role for Tech Consulting. Can anyone give more information about work culture? Also came to know there are less Consultants available on my domain (SAP SD) and EY India is building practice and actively hiring. Your best comeback stories? Ever had someone fuck you over, only to find yourself in a position of power over them years later? How sweet is sweet revenge?
So, I’m interviewing for a position that fits perfectly, HR likes my profile, had great conversations with them. Today I had a Panel interview with HR and the hiring manager. The manager is not experienced, it’s her first r manager role and she’s been in it for 3 months. I was prepared but was out of breath the entire interview, had a knot in my throat, had trouble finding my words. It’s like I had PTSD when this manager came into the picture. Ever had that?
I need to learn how to say no, but how do you ladies deal saying no to friends when they ask for a favor you don’t want to do? My friend constantly asks me to watch her dog. She was always asking last minute and id use the excuse of being busy. She just sent me her planned trips through the end of the year and asked if I’m available any of the weeks / weekends. I don’t have plans yet for most of those weekends but don’t want to commit to dog sitting and then saying no to plans.
TX PIRs are painful to review 🥲🥲🥲
Where to go for skiing around the city that is beginner friendly and within 2 hour drive?

How’s Saatchi London doing? Good place to be?
Anyone hear about PA’s hospital shutdown bc of the private company that promised to “expand its services” but ran it into the ground? It’s an hr away from me and has sorely impacted the community. There’s a special place in hell for people who profit off of Americans’ loss of healthcare. This is why healthcare shouldn’t be private to begin with.
I’m waiting until I get married (24M)
I recently found out I’m pregnant while I’ve been job hunting at. Probably won’t start a new position at a firm until early 2023 which would put me at almost 3 months. Any advice for starting a job at that point knowing I’ll be out on leave 6 months later? Not working during the pregnancy isn’t an option really.
Hi folks, Consultanting people from Mumbai are welcome to share their thoughts, ideas, dreams, rants.

Breakups are difficult enough but for some reason, finding out that an ex is moving away always seems to me hit me pretty hard. Even if the relationship ended months ago or you’re the one that ended it. Its the realization that you and this person are about to live completely separate lives. Anyone else feel this way or get where I’m coming from?
My company has seen some pretty consistent turnover in the engineering department. I’ve been here for a little over a year and we’ve lost a CTO, VP of Engineering, Engineering Managers, and many, many Engineers. Is this just the market being hot? Or should I be concerned?

Hoping to get my PHR in the next year or so. Outside of employer reimbursement, are there other opportunities for this to get funded? I know SHRM Foundation offers scholarships for the CP, but I am looking for PHR specific help. Thank you! :)

What is your companies paid parental leave benefit/policy? Currently offer 12 weeks fully paid for any new parent and thinking about adding additional time.
Is this legal? My spouses company just decided to change their comp structure for account managers. It was base + comm, now it’s commission only but nothing changed, OT commission is the same, didn’t get more points, just took away the base pay and said work harder basically. So now they have to worker harder to get $50k they were already making. (Not a decision based on employee performance, they’ve been crushing it. I think the company is just trying to save money they overspent else where)
My team is hiring a Bilingual Spanish - HR Manager in Santa Clarita area. Please reach out to me if you or someone you know might be interested.
Any strategies or resources you could recommend for getting rid of the dreaded annual performance review (or at least lessening the dread) and creating a more effective year round performance feedback system? Our review is currently tied to our end of year bonuses and merit increases, so not sure I could get rid of it entirely. This would be for hourly and management employees, all working on-site.
Has anyone here gotten rid of the annual review / annual performance eval? If so, how are you doing merit increases without the ratings?
May soon have an offer for in-house TA coordinator role but also and an entry level agency recruiter position, contemplating which is most suitable.
Any advice on how to identify which is best? Would love to hear from those whom have done both sides of the coin but also everyone else!
Job hunting this year has been terrible. Has anyone noticed the trend of HR Salaries being lowered while operations at the same level are increasing? Then you have all these high COLA areas trying to pay less than Midwest States. Really feel like hanging my hat up on HR and leaving the profession in the dust.
I'm at the final stage (offer very likely) for a role with a publicly listed tech company.
They are offering stock as part of my package. Should I be pushing for more stock or a better base and less stock?

I was recently laid off for my company, a Big 4 firm, and am urgently looking for my next role. Anyone I can connect with or get referrals from would be greatly appreciated.

I’m interviewing for a Talent Acquisition internship at a large tech company (~5,000) and I’m feeling a bit iffy about the position. My initial impression was that it involved front-end recruitment, interviews, sourcing but it seems to be more back-end, operations & systems oriented. The job desc. is vague and I believe Talent Acquisition Operations Intern is more fitting since it’s more of a technical position - is this a big difference & will the TA intern look less technical on my resume?
Benefits Administrators/Professionals - I’ve been looking to improve my knowledge in understanding how insurance benefits work.
Any book or website suggestions?
I’m taking the SHRM-CP exam today and I’m pretty nervous. I’ve been studying for three months but somehow it still feels like it wasn’t enough. Any words of encouragement?
