I started out in Public Accounting 18 years ago. Did 5 years in public and left for the Healthcare Industry to work in their tax department. I have worked remotely part time, but do full time work.(While I had 4 children). I'm now ready to work full time and they are willing to promote me to manager in next few months. But the org is taking a turn I don't like, and I'm wanting something different. How demanding are the PCS and FS departments in public accounting? Are they truly Seasonal?

Seeking feedback on GAP insurance. I had a family member who purchased a car in June or July. They were in an accident last week and it sounds like the car will be declared a total loss. Never dealt with this before, so wanted to ask if anyone has ever had an instance where the insurance didn't cover the outstanding balance of the loan and the insured then owed money? Car was $35k, $7k down, finance $28k. Gap insurance is through lender, not auto insurer.

Made a career pivot to another agency. During the interview we talked about how it may start as initially a "step backwards" (pay/benefits) but has potential for more long term growth. First day was yesterday. Had no communication about when or where to show up, sat in an empty office for about half an hour before a couple people finally showed. No phone call or email. Sent an email to the founder, no response. I could easily get my old job back if wanted.
