What do you wish you knew about OCM/change management when you first started your career? What would you teach your newbie self? Be as specific as possible in your reflection.

My firm is evaluating CM programs/models to adopt as standard, getting some folks trained and certified and creating an ongoing internal training model. I’m a new grad hire (7 months) in the OCM consulting space. I’m passionate about change management and communication strategy. I've been reading, googling, and perusing anything I can get my hands on about OCM, including old OCM deliverables and our current methodology. My People Manager told me that OCM is a journey when it comes to understanding it and that a lot of that knowledge is gained through just experience. Does anyone have any tips they’ve gained in their OCM journey to share?
