I used to be a screw up. My brother in law knows all about it. I'm doing well now and I'm in a (not publicly visible) role in a public agency. My brother in law occasionally makes fun of me; I don't care because I'm finally doing well for myself, but sometimes I worry that if my sister divorces him he'll make it his job to gossip about me. He already gossips about my purchases/ talks down to me. I don't reprimand him because he does it around my 2 year old niece who currently adores me.

SIL and BIL told us excitedly last weekend that she was pregnant (had literally just found out, so barely four weeks). This week she tells us she’s not pregnant anymore :(. They did not seem super torn up about it and were very practical about it. We said how sorry we were, etc etc. should I do anything else? Should I not mention it again unless they do?

My husband repeatedly claims domestic abuse falsely, and it’s getting too much. Now that I have kids he has started saying this to them and they say it back to me. I think he does this because he wants custody of kids or an upper hand when it comes to finances if we end up divorcing. Any ideas on how to handle this

Struggling with a friendship that has become toxic & fills me with anxiety. various factors have caused us to drift but it feels like nothing I say or do now is right. The issues seem to really come to a head for one when she is drunk, using it to air grievances with me. When sober she doesn’t feel like talking about it. It feels like we are pretending to be best friends because of history but the substance isn’t there and I just want out of it. Can anyone offer advice?
