I used to be a screw up. My brother in law knows all about it. I'm doing well now and I'm in a (not publicly visible) role in a public agency. My brother in law occasionally makes fun of me; I don't care because I'm finally doing well for myself, but sometimes I worry that if my sister divorces him he'll make it his job to gossip about me. I give massive kudos to all the parents out there juggling work and home life. But it’s starting to feel like I pulled the short stick by not having a kid. Really struggling to pick up all of the slack from all of the colleagues that do have kids and feel like the expectation is that parents should turn off while the rest are working from 7am - 2am everyday to make up for it.

It really bothers me when I hear kids being referred to as under privileged. We say that to them enough then they start to believe they are less than others 😡

I’ve been negotiating a settlement on behalf of a client. OP is a major corp. we’ve gone back and forth for months, almost a year. Finally came to a final agreement and we’re reviewing for final signature. Then client is reviewing and decides they want something else modified. It’s a point of contention. OP has said no. Should I communicate this to client before pushing back against OP’s rejection of the mod?
