Do I need to know ratios for FDD case study?
Hi! I just accepted a Relationship Banker II role in Allen, TX. My offer letter was 50k base and 1k guaranteed commission a month first year. I just graduated w a degree in Business Administration. Basically the info I got on how commission works was pretty vague. Anyway I wanted to see what someone I’m their 1st or 2nd year can realistically expect to on average make in commission a year in this role. Also what do bonuses in the role look like? I’m hoping to just hear some ballpark numbers! JPMorgan Chase JPMorgan Chase

Chase Sapphire Preferred. Low annual fee, but a lot of perks and there may be a good sign up bonus around now.
Delta Amex give me 1 free checked bags and companion travel once per year in the US. I wish it was international as that is where most of my travel is.
Probable chase preferred or reserve. Most travel cards are hard to get value out of for domestic travel, but these cards give guaranteed 1.25 or 1.5 cents per point.
If the primary selling point for you is 1.25/1.5 cents per point, then also consider the US Bank Altitude a reserve. You get 1.5 cents per point on travel without having to use a third party portal to book the travel - you can book direct and still get 1.5.
I live in San Diego and have both the CSP and United for the points. I am mostly using United, as is my wife, to get a cheap trip to Europe/Africa in 2024.
I believe the first question is from where you live to where your family lives on the east coast, are there any airlines that often fly there since it's a hub? For instance, I have a friend who flys from NYC to see family in SC, so he uses Delta for free checked bags and lounge access.
If you don't want to be "married to any airline" I suggest like everyone else here looking at Chase Sapphire preferred or Reserve. Although, it doesn't include free checked bags, part of your annual fee (300) can be used to cover the checked bag fee, you'll get lounge access, and travel insurance. You could also explore Amex Plat, but with such a high annual fee (650), you have to carefully evaluate if those perks are worthwhile. You can select an airline yearly to apply a $200 credit for your checked bags or seat upgrades. I had this card, but cancelled it as the perks did not all benefit me.
Hope that helps!
