I want to get my AWS cloud practitioner essentials certification and am started to look at the resources to study for it. How many hours/week do you think I would reasonably need to dedicate if I want to get this done in 6-8 weeks?

AWS Cloud Practitioner is pretty straight forward. I’m at AWS and you should probably go straight to the Solutions Architect Associate. Adrian Cantrill has the best material and Jon Bonso has the best exam questions.

like

It really only took me two weeks because on and off studying due to work. You can knock it out quickly if you dedicate some time

I used Udemy with a guy name Stephan (sp?). You can download a very detailed deck and just read through it. I thought I would spend weeks studying, but in reality I probably spent 6 hours total with another 2 hours watching the video summaries the day of the exam. You get 100 minutes to do the exam and I finished in 12 minutes and a couple of weeks later I learned that I missed 2 questions.

You need practitioner to really do the more advanced ones so you might as well knock this one out.

Awesome, thanks. I really just need the slide deck to read through it. I have watched some videos on AWS website to get myself familiarized with the terminology.

Hi 👋 Any good UX books for senior designer level that helps with strategy, and good frameworks, or anything that will help me with my thought process? I have the basic books like don’t make me think, and 100 things. I’ll be joining a startup soon as chief designer, and will be back to being a full stack designer — I’ve been an IC for the past few years, so I definitely need to improve on strategies and maybe frameworks when it comes to UX. Will appreciate any suggestions. Thanks! 🙏🏻

I'm currently a medical scribe with background in risk analytics and business development(switched from finance to medicine) and currently trying to get into a clinical trial assistant role. Last year, I had spoke to professionals who say I have the skills and experience to join, but due to my lack of clinical experience, I was unable to join. Now after a year, I have 8 months scribing experience in a hospital.

How do I leverage this experience to break in now?

I am an inventory control manager with 9 years of inventory management, purchasing, and warehouse management (7 yrs military 2 yrs private). Looking to transition to supply chain management such as planning or procurement but having no luck. Any advice or suggestions on how to move forward in my job search? Any recommendations of positions I should be applying to?

My total experience is around 7+ years and am currently working in a MNC from the past 4 years. I was planning to make a switch to some other company but recently my manager has mentioned to me in person and as well as on my appraisal feedback (in writing) that I will be nominated for the H1B visa in the coming cycle. This was in July 2022. Should I be worried that it won't happen or should I start looking for the switch.?
