Don’t. Just go client side. The same woes you have in advertising carries over into consulting. Except maybe you get paid more in consulting. But it also comes with navigating consulting world. If you really want to, I would apply to the consulting firms that have an advertising, media, marketing arm. Or are looking to grow those capabilities. Accenture Interactive & Deloitte Digital come into mind.
I work at Deloitte Digital in the strategy group. I’m happy to answer questions if you want to DM me
Thanks!! Will send you a DM
@OP, I wrote a few responses on previous threads.
But for anyone wanting to make a switch I always ask:
- Why
- What you do today in "Strategy"
- What you hope to do in Consulting (focus, dream firm etc)
Happy to provide some guidance
Why would you do that though? consulting firms in Marketing with no actual production are cute. But very limited in offwrings. Best to make strategy from a position where you actually understand production. Not just doing google slides from things you haven't touched in years.
strategy is a broad term, are you a brand strategist or marketing channel strategist?
