Hi everyone! I’m a young professional right out of college getting into investing and personal finance management. Trying to better understand and educate myself on personal finance and investment strategies. Can someone recommend some recourses (books, podcasts, experts to follow, etc.) where it’s clearly explained for beginners? Trying to make sense of 401Ks, Roth IRAs, emergency funds etc.
Like I’m looking for someone like Dave Ramsey but for investment and money management advice.
🐟🐠Best investment book recommendations (stocks, real estate, fundamental analysis etc.). Any books that will really help me to get smart on investing and stock analysis. Also, best trading platforms?
What are your best personal finance tips and sources of information? I’m the household CFO by default, and I need to get more savvy about budgeting / planning / investing so my money works harder for me.
Any good programs, books or courses you’ve taken? Any good tips or hacks you want to share? Teach me your ways!
My family wants to start a real estate investment company with me. Can anyone share how do I get started or books I can read about ? Thanks.

Best book on investing? As a doctor or otherwise
Is there a good single source or book that’s worth reading when first getting into commercial real estate investing? Looking to ramp up on the DD process and what to look out for
What are some good books for learning about finance? I don't know almost anything about the stock market, investing, managing money etc.
For those that invested in real estate rentals, how did you systematically approach finding a good property? Realized most of my stock investments was just gambling and I don’t want to gamble on a RE investment. Read a few books but none of them go into how to actually find a good deal/city.
What is the best book to learn about Investments, and Retirement Planning in 2021 or any timeless book? I am 36 and only got 160k in savings lying in bank accounts and feel I am way behind. I regularly watch people providing screenshots of them reaching million.. Family composition: Couple with 2 kids. HHI: 150k. Hoping someone could provide some guidance here.
What are some of the best books you’ve read about people and investing? Such as dealing with people (business psychology almost) and then investing (real estate more specifically)!
I am looking for books that give practical advice, not just big picture theory and motivation.
For any of you real estate investors, what tools or sources did you learn from when getting started. Can’t find a mentor currently so want to find some highly recommended books or videos. If focused on the tri-state area (NY, NJ, Long Island mainly) that would be even better. My hope is to buy and rent out a apartment while also owning a house and house hacking that by renting part of it out. Trying to understand all the steps, traps, and how to find if it’s a good investment.
Looking for recommendations of books to read related to commercial / corporate real estate strategy
Trying to get into habit of reading. Have never read any books and would love some recommendations
General interest include investment, trchnology, short stories with moral, entrepreneurship, business
I am 7 years out in a transactional practice (real estate) and have an opportunity to move in house at a regionally respected company from a midsize firm. I have WFH flexibility at my current firm but bill about 1850-1900 per year. It would be about a 25% paycut. I have also been offered partnership starting in 2022 if I stay - not entirely clear what that long term structure looks like (would have to develop a partially independent book in next 3-5 years). Am I crazy if I leave?
My favorite line from LinkedIn posters bashing biglaw: “I never wanted biglaw.” So edgy.
Further to a successful two stage interview process, I am meeting with a Managing Director tomorrow as the last step before any offer is made? Any advice or wisdom!? I don’t know what to expect!

What’s the best way to figure out if I’m getting paid market rate as corporate counsel for a large tech company? We all work our butts off and I just don’t know how to figure out if I’m getting paid fairly for it.
When should I start to get worried that corporate is so slow? Have only billed 230 hours for the year so far and it doesn’t seem like things are picking up soon so getting nervous since my firm has a billable hours minimum requirement.

Any time I have to travel to somewhere south of the Mason-Dixon Line, I’m going to say I’m going to the Confederacy. Because apparently it’s revisionist not too, and it preserves “heritage”

Anyone go to FAANG and boomerang back? Why and how are you liking it? I miss the exposure and scope of impact (c-level strategy), people (higher IQ/EQ, more collaborative), and pace of growth (more exposure, career progression)
How is the WLB at EY-Parthenon ? Currently at MBB and looking for a change of pace now with family and kids. Is EYP open to laterals from MBB? I’d be targeting the Director band most likely
I’m tired of these boomers who think new grads are overpaid. 1. Accounting for inflation no we’re not overpaid 2. Y’all had the bull run of a f*cking century in the market and if you boomers don’t have $3M+ in the bank account after working in consulting/other great corporate jobs you’re an idiot and 3. The prices of homes are literally unattainable whereas my parents who made minimum wage their whole lives with no family help were able to afford a fantastic house

I’m glad the earlier KPMG comment was deleted. This platform attracts toxic people who feel that it is necessary to not add anything of value.
OP if you live with a large city, there might be local conferences hosted by your city government to provide information for people interested in getting into real estate. It would probably be useful if you want to know more about that market.
I’m also starting to invest.
