I was cold-messaged on LinkedIn by a PwC recruiter for a Senior Associate position. I sent my resume, went through 4 interviews from supervisor up to partner, but was just offered an Associate position because I do not have 3 years of experience (will be 2 in July) at my current firm.

This was not my fault. You looked at my LinkedIn, 4 people looked at my resume. Is this a bait-and-switch tactic or is this just a ridiculous mistake by the recruiter? I would not have interviewed for Associate

Last week I had to explain to my child what “politics” (as in office politics) is. My child is going to a new high school and wants to play volleyball. There was a 3 day open “tryout” for incoming freshman for 2 teams. After the first day, she noticed that
1) there were obvious favorites (coaches are not even hiding that fact);
2) some can’t even play and got on the team,
3) some that can obviously play but did not get on the team;
4) decision were obviously made before the first day was over.
