I was not aware of this either OP but I honestly am not surprised. I think that there is still so much that we are learning about Covid and the vaccine and I don't think we will really know everything for quit esome time. Living through a pandemic was insane.

like

Everything I’ve read thus far indicates the vaccine helps prevent ‘long covid’ and helps with the mental health piece. I know things are still being researched and they’re still learning. I have RA so covid can tear my body apart bc everything beyond the covid symptoms (which sucked) is flared from the autoimmune piece. No thank you !! 2 friends got covid in the very beginning of Covid. One died and the other , an RN was very sick for 4 months at home. She has long covid now, and had to retire- it’s awful. If only..,

I haven't talked to anyone or read anything from people experiencing anything positive about the vaccine.
Yah of course COVID caused mental harm to people, bc we were told to shut ourselves off to life and other living being for two weeks if we had a cough and also for three years b/c other people might have a cough. .....

Physically - I've had COVID three times, not vaccinated, covid was less severe each time, the last time I felt fluish for two days. Choose what's best for you but... basically COVID is the flu now.. so ... get a shot if you want to but not necessary unless you're elderly or immunocompromised.

like

What? The vaccine kept ppl alive, I’d say that’s positive. Of course when ppl were hospitalized and on deaths door the first 18 months of covid, those ppl begged for the vaccine. BEGGED! Too late. And the majority of those patients died. That’s not so positive.
The vaccine also prevents long covid, which anyone can get from any variant.
You do you! But do your homework at least-.

I’ve never had any issues with the vaccine. I have a family member with long Covid and it’s not good.

Covid damages/ages our organs each time we get it. Some are lucky enough to not have severe damage while others it's drastic. I haven't heard about it worsening mental health issues but can imagine it could since brain damage can add or worsen mental health issues. Those with long covid it has affected in ways that have caused some to unalive themselves unfortunately. My husband is one of the unlucky that have had long covid since getting covid the first time back in the first wave and it definitely brought on and worsened his mental health. Going from a healthy 40 yr old that took care of his family to someone unable to walk, get out of bed, having to be cared for will understandably cause a negative impact on anyone. Through the support groups for those with LH we found some who got the vaccine it helped, some it did nothing for. Unfortunately we still don't have enough information regarding LH.

I’m interviewing for a marketing manager role at a company based in SF. I’m genuinely excited about the role and the company but we’ve yet to discuss salary. I expect to be asked at some point, but my research has given me a VERY broad range. So I’m here to do a bit more research. I’ve got 5 very relevant years of experience and will have an associate manager directly reporting to me. Are there any marketers out there who can share their salaries in similar regions and experience levels?

I recently had an interview with HCL and cleared 2 rounds of technical interview. I waited for a week for HR call but no such call was received. I then contacted the POC who scheduled the interview (he is an HCL employee) and he said that I have been shortlisted and will receive HR call shortly. This was 1 week ago and I have still not received any call. Has anyone else faced the same issue? And if yes, should I even expect a call fro HR?

So I had been working as medical interpreter up to the early part of this year. Today, during an interview, the Director with whom I was interviewing genuinely urged me to consider pursuing a career as a PA or even attempt to go to medical school. I had considered it in passing before but today was about the third or fourth time that someone had earnestly nudged me in that direction. Has anyone here made such a career pivot before?
