Do condos need plywood subfloor under engineered wood for sound insulation? In the middle of a project to replace carpet, and condo guys keep stalling the project coz we aren't installing a subfloor.
How many of you don't have an apartment and just alt travel or stay in your client city every weekend? Specifically any EY folks who do this? Wondering how easy it is to live like this on our policies
Staff sent out paper AR confirms and got them back. Manager saw them and asked why their wasn't fold marks. Turns out staff forged signatures cause he didn't send them. Partner came out and fired him!
Pro tip: use your PTO to go all in on a personal hobby or side project for a week. It’s super refreshing, and you don’t have the stress of travel.
I’ve been laid off for 6 months+ looking for senior account management roles in NYC. My background is in digital content strategy, performance marketing, and ecommerce.
For those in senior positions- how are you not constantly worried about the success of your work? There’s so many things that can affect P&L that are out of your control, how do you stay calm and not feel like you’re going to get fired as soon as growth slows?
If you are laid off and cannot find a job doing your day job, what will you do? I am trying to prepare a plan b and c. My car is too old for Uber eats etc. curious your thoughts.
Given the news of BB losing Ford as a client, not sure if I can make a case for holding my 1k shares for the long run. Anyone have any real bull thesis that’s not just rockets? I’m considering just dumping my BB into MGNI/DKNG to bolster my winners there
What have your experiences been like switching from agency to client side? Do you like it? How long have you been in both sides? How did you get in? Through a recruiter or was there a specific brand you wanted to work at and you reached out to them? What made you want to switch? Or switch back? Any thoughts!
Deloitte 🐠, just joined Deloitte today and am wondering how useful is staffit? Is it likely I get staffed on a project I actually want or is it based on the need of a certain project that my manager feels is the best fit for me?
Anyone worried about layoffs? I saw a post about Deloitte laying off 5000 employees ... I know EY saying no lay off this year but what about other firms?
What’s the bare minimum amount of time you should stay at an agency? Suspecting (another) round of layoffs and don’t want to get caught with my pants down.

Team & client do a LOT of dinners/happy hours and I am very particular about getting in a workout every evening (morning workouts make me nauseous) has anyone faced issues skipping many team events?
Completely burned out. Hardly billing. Motivation is gone. How long until I get fired? 🥲 Will there be a warning before? Stressed.
How long does tcs take to provide experience letter. My current organization which I joined 4 weeks back are asking for experience letter without which they are not onboarding me to any project. Has anyone faced similar issues.
WYR? Work on a prestigious brand but don’t make anything. Ever. With an up and coming agency that could be something cool some day? Or an agency where you make ALOT and have the opportunity to work on a lot of different brands but have to spend a year working on one terrible client with no work life balance?
Hi guys! Looking to learn about real estate investing! I am a senior in college graduating with a degree in finance so I understand certain aspects, but am looking to learn more on my own about real estate specifically! What books would you recommend I read?
What is the typical base + bonus range at Citi for SVP and Director level (Institutional Clients Group)? Recruiter refused to provide any compensation range for given roles.
Has anybody interviewed for a KPMG AAS senior associate role recently? How did the interview go and was it both behavioral and technical? I am currently working in audit and am interested in making the switch.
Hi there. Anyone at Deloitte knows about this opening: US-EA Strategic Marketing Senior Manager, Executive Accelerators-Chief Executive & CMO Programs? Thanks
Has anyone gone through 3 rounds of interviews with a firm, been told there are no other candidates, and then NOT received an offer?! This wait is killing me.
Did SF change their AE comp plan to include selling services now? There seems to be a strong push by them to suddenly start pushing their own service organization.
I’m frustrated that I’m always expected to do everything for our LO since I’m working from home. Five days a week, I do all the drop offs and pickups. When the baby is napping, I prep all her bottles and solids to pack with for daycare. Today, on top of everything else I had to take our dog to the vet. My husband hasn’t even offered to do anything because it’s easier for me to do it.
Potentially getting a manager offer from big D’s M&A and restructuring practice. Can anyone please share the salary and bonus range for a manager position and rough annual expected completion growth rate? Location - tier one city in the US. Many thanks
Just got accepted as a Senior Consultant @ Capgemini Philippines! Is this a lead position? I am a support engineer. Capgemini
Any insight on getting MBA from mendoza as far as prospects for transitioning into a post-mba strategy consulting role? It’s ranked outside the top 15 but from research seems like it still sends plenty of grads to top consulting firms (not MBB)
Do recommendations on LinkedIn provide any value to potential employers? Do recruiters look at them? What do recruiters look at on a LinkedIn profile?
Anyone here that works in KPMG Real Estate tax group in NY? Would like to know more about the group and the culture! TIA!
I have an interview with a big tech firm very soon. I’m in an awkward beard growth stage and kinda look like crap but not really, do y’all think it’ll affect anything?
Hey fishes I know it's kinda depressing but that's what I am into so it's been months now with Amazon and I've working in a new role learning great stuff but here's the catch I don't have anyone to contact with like people here don't reply if you ask for help and if you even call out like they defend by saying they're busy . Forget favors they don't reply to "hey". I have total 2 yrs of exp so barely saw work culture at office. But I wanna ask is this normal or I'm overthinking.
Hey I’m looking at KPMG for their senior associate, federal healthcare policy. I was wondering if anyone here works or has worked for them and what your experience is/was?
Livid & need to vent. Had a call with a client, I am the attorney that manages their cases. A male attorney was on the call with me as well. I try to explain something to client multiple times and he keeps cutting me off to explain his question again (even though I am answering the question but for the interruptions). Male attorney jumps in and explains exactly same of what I am saying, male client listens intently, no interruptions, then essentially ignores me the rest of the call. Raaaaage 🤬
Working 2 full time jobs while remote. One makes 75k the other makes 85k. I only plan on using the 85k towards living expenses. What would You do with the other 75k? Go all in on 401k? Save for a house in the next 4 months (already have 35k saved for a down payment)? Diversify between crypto, taxable brokerage, 401k? I’m also debt free.
One of the best thing of the job is you won't be stuck with the same people. I'm so glad I'll roll off soon and it's been so frustrating to deal with some ppl on my team.
Hi Tax Bowlers, I'm an experienced associate (2yrs) in a Big 4 Transfer Pricing division. I have reached a point in my career where I am considering taking up a professional certification. Several colleagues recommended taking up either ACCA or CFA, however, I see little connection between these certifications and the work that I am currently doing, and what I plan to do in the future. What would you guys suggest? Would it be detrimental to my career if I did not take up any certifications?
