You don’t necessarily go back to what you had it the new company has a different policy. But the prior years of service still count. So if, say, the new company increases PTO after 5 years, your previous tenure go towards that.
Wait. Really? I just switched IPG agencies and didn't know this. I'll look into it!
You need to come back to IPG in a 2 year period to keep the same pto and 401k.
Yeah a lot of IPG agencies have switched to u limited PTO recently. But yes they do combine years of service for a lot of benefits.
You have to tell them or sometimes negotiate it back unless they have gone to the unlimited model, then it doesn’t matter.
Everything is negotiable always. Or come to Golin and get unlimited PTO.
Martin has unlimited PTO. Not all IPG agencies run same way.
I’ve been at 2 with unlimited PTO
Good to know - thanks!!
They will likely prorate your previous time at IPG for date of hire for years of service. Lots of things kick back in though like 401k dates, benefits etc. PTO is iffy since lots of companies are now unlimited no matter when you start or how long your tenure.
