Hi there. Ex Deloitte Sr Mgr here, currently in tech pre sales (SaaS / MarTech). Recently spoke to both Salesforce and Adobe recruiters for roles that I thought were lateral moves (Sr SA / Sr SC), therefore I did not proceed with the selection process. The recruiters from both companies told me they typically hire at that level, and people are considered for promotion to Principal in 1 to 2 years. I found that odd. Is that right? What’s the typical TC for SAs and SCs there? (15+ yrs exp).
I have recently joined EY SaT group as senior consultant recently in Netherlands. I’m tripple masters in MS economics, MBA and MS business analytics. Have 4 YOE in different industries but no M&A experience specifically. Any ideas what company should be offering me? I’ll be working as expert on commercial due diligence, FDD and valuation teams and doing automation alongside. is it wise to demand higher salary or promotion soon after I have proven that I can work and do it better than most?EY

After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

For me it depends on whether it has better work life balance.

So true! Great point.
Also depends about your current Salary! What is the percentage increase?
Pro
It’s about a 28% increase. So a good amount but I’m concerned about being stuck for 4+ years when I could be giving up making steady salary bumps at my current company
Depends on how large of an increase that is for you. Do you make $60k or $300k?
Pro
I make $105k so it’s obviously a nice bump but I still live comfortably now
Right. 100–>130 would be hard to turn down. 250–>280, id consider other stuff more

Very true! Thanks for replying.

All else being equal, if I was only planning on staying a couple years then maybe. If I wanted to stay long term then probably not.

Great point!

I’d seriously consider it, but I’d be honest about what I need most right now. A $30k raise is meaningful, especially if it improves your quality of life or helps you hit financial goals faster. But if growth is truly limited, I’d think of it as a strategic move for a few years rather than a long-term place to build your career.

Great points! Thanks for sharing.
I believe it's better to choose a company with greater room for growth, which will allow you to better challenge yourself and gain more opportunities for advancement

I like this take! Thanks for sharing.
If the new place has limited growth opportunities, you may get bored or hit a ceiling within a few years and would want to go look for something else.
Could you make the 30k bump in pay with your current company for a similar role as the new company?
no i would not take it.
