If you had to choose between purchasing your first home in Montana vs Oregon, which would you choose? Not too bothered about politics or anything like that, I just want to know if Oregon is too expensive and not worth it and if I should head for Montana or somewhere in the midwest instead. Thanks.

Montana has very reasonable property values, yet cost of amenities can be a bit high. I say do your research on other factors as well and make an educated decision

Hi fishes,
I'm 22 and planning to take a life insurance. I'm comparing all policies and max life seems attractive as it has good claim settlement ratio and less premiums. But there is no office near our area. My worry is that if there is a need to claim in future, it can be done all online by my nominee? Is it recommended to take policy online in any platform(like policybazaar)?
Other options I'm considering are SBI life, HDFC life which offices are available in my locality.

Anyone ever have experience negotiating a new offer to include unvested 401k match and stock grants from your current employer? I hate leaving money on the table but there are some good roles out there. I’m not fully vested in my current 401k yet and my stock grants haven’t matured yet either. This would be at a global director level.

I have been DCAing over the last few months on binance and then moving the tokens to my Celsius wallet.

It has become really difficult to keep track of the actual cost of the tokens and profit/loss.

Any software or app recommendations, I am almost inclined to start an excel spreadsheet to keep track now

Point to note: North has City view, South has Hill view, W has Forest view & E has city view. If you were gonna buy a flat in this site what all things you would think and then make a decision. First time buying flat.

Hey fishes, can someone tell me how the 80c bracket works, i know i can get exempt upto 1.5lakh under it, what i wanna know is does PF comes under it or not? For example if my yearly pf deduction is 20k and VPF is 10k so now will i still be able to show investment of 1.5lakh under 80c apart from PF and VPF or i'll be able to get exemption on only 1.2 lakh( 1.5lakh-30k= 1.2lakh)?

Thank you in advance!!

When do you know you've toured enough houses and should pick one from the list you've got? I've seen probably 15-20 homes, and put in one offer. How many homes should you tour minimum, and how many offers did you put in before you closed? I don't want to be too hasty and choose something just because, but I also think continuing to see homes isn't really making my decision any easier. Thanks!

I’m really discouraged. My after tax / after 401k contributions etc. take home pay is $6,500 monthly. I have $60,000 in savings / stocks for a down payment but even looking at a $550,000 home, my monthly payment would be about $3,400 from the calculators I’ve been using. Is that too high?

So discouraged that houses where I live are about 50% higher than what they were 2 years ago, and now interest rates are around 5.25% for my credit score. This is like a 1750 sq foot home

Want to get out of the Silicon Valley which has been home my whole life and buy in TX or AZ a ~$400k house.
