McKinsey & Company Bain & Company Hello, I received an offer as a Senior Practice Manager at Bain. The profit sharing range is 0-12% in the offer letter. Is it typical to receive the midpoint (6%)? Also, what do the annual salary increases typically look like? Any insights are much appreciated. Bain & Company Boston Consulting Group McKinsey & Company

Yes EY2, We hire people here at Deloitte that are incapable of doing this kind analysis. Furthermore, those are the ones who are fully utilized because that level of ineptitude is of high demand to our clients. Sorry, I must have forgotten this.
I get everyone non D offering all the formulas and. What not but if someone from D is giving 2080 bs without asking more details about op level and comm vs federal them all you are proving how much you have to learn. Follow this rule - dont judge the fking book by cover , open it , read first 10 pages and last 5 and then offer your opinion. Anyway op what's your level. That 2% drop by week is roundabout applies to all the staff level
Let's be honest - op wanted more of a humble brag about how busy he is than anything else. #callingyouout
Do the fucking math yourself. (billed/standard hours for your PY) = current util ((billed + 0)/(standard hours from above + 8*days benched) = desired util
...I just can't
There's an excel calculator spreadsheet your RM should have sent you
Analytics well* and math well*. Let's add English to that list of good
Also, as a firm we like to pretend we can do analytics good, but utilization trackers prove we can't do analytics good or do other math good too.
Depends how far into the performance year you are and how many hours you bill in a normal week, duh. But with a denominator of 1820, 40 working hours is about 2%.
@P1 with the cultural references fail 🙄🙄
None. Why isn't it 140%?
Probably a month will get you back to 100
PwC1 are you suggesting I don't do English good?
Op isn't good at math everyone. Op is a consultant not a mathematician! Please give him/her a break and instead relish in the fact that Op has 120% util. You too should aim for this. This is not a humble brag as Op has not a humble bone in his or her body.
Bout 1 week into "Beach and Chill" and the Partner asks if you've seen his huge deck
45 hour weeks
OP sucks
It doesn't matter OP.
You are still not getting promoted!!!' Hohohoho
PwC1 - that's not how utilization works right now. The utilization in relative to a target per year, nr relative to all hours. So perfectly normal to be >100%
@P1, deloitte works 45 weeks, so we are always overutilized if staffed
Another fact... Op didn't say his/her level or util target so for anyone who thought Op actually wanted help, the joke is on you!
