Disney Streaming Services I completed my interview process with DSS early last week, and was reached out by recruiter that all rounds were strong hires, and they are extending an offer. We set a time to talk on Friday about the offer. However, the announcement of targeted hiring freeze happened on Friday. I was ghosted with no call. What should I expect now? Would I still have chance to be offered?

Trust me you don’t want it
Do it ASAP and ignore PwC1. Good luck!
After exams done.
Just ask a friend at a big 4 to recommend you after this year. We are under staffed and looking for anyone with experience
Chill!! You’re not big 4 GT. Nice try tho
Do you know your technical stuff?
If you do, I’d say jump ASAP. Small firms are actually better at training basic technical skills because you do it on 5 small projects instead of once on a big project, so I think it benefits to start at smaller firms. You also get to know how the project flows instead of seeing just a tiny part of it.
Otherwise, I’d wait until after senior 1. You won’t be doing the grunt work (which I feel like there’s more of) and won’t be adjusting to a new role at a new firm.
No idea what world you came from but almost all public accounting firms are desperate for seniors and managers - those are the two positions that have the most job openings and need the most people lol.
I would do it as soon as possible. Like right after this busy season. You learned a specific audit methodology using specific technology. The sooner you learn the new ways the better. If you go after this busy season you won't have to repeat a year and they will most likely hire you as a staff 2. But as the others are saying try to get as many tests as possible complete.
Let me know if you want a referral at Deloitte, just message me! I could for sure get you an interview. As an experienced hire the more CPA exams you have some the better your chances
Experienced hires are easy.
I admit there’s a benefit of having bigger clients under your belt, but as others have said, project wise you touch a lot more aspects at mid tiers
I did four years at 100 person firm and four years at PwC.
If I were you, go to B4 after one year of experience, do two at B4, then return to smaller firm. You’ll be a rockstar and not burnt out
After busy season
ASAP. I’ll give you a referral.
ATL. It doesnt matter. It’s all US.
Asap
Get your CPA. If you have a CPA, get one busy season as senior.

You should go after busy season to start yr 2
If that’s what you want, I would recommend applying ASAP. I like my job (for the most part) and think it’s great learning experience. I would NOT wait to apply though. Big 4’s do not usually hire in higher level staff
I’ve also know SMs and partners to switch PA firms. Only 1 SM but multiple partners.
