Anyone who has recently resigned from ibm? When you initiare a separation process from workday, it goes to manager for approval. I asked HR and there is a due date mentioned on that process. Does that mean that if manager does not approve before the due date, my resignation is declined? What is the impact and what is meant by that due date? IBM

Wow. McKinsey, which has the biggest public sector presence of the MBB, really hasn't been doing too hot at all in the sector.
Its presence is tiny and it's gotten even smaller. Meanwhile it's bungling whatever opportunities it's getting.

I think a lot of people overcomplicate this. The job is the job. Just do the job. We're talking about a personality trait, not a disease. Some teachers are more introverted, some are more extroverted. It doesn't change what we have to do.
If you're asking for a formula for how to interact with the students or how much you should talk, I don't know if anyone on here will do much good for you. As I've found out over the last couple of decades, that's not something you can teach. You've got to read the kids and how they're responding to you. If that means being more bold and vocal, that's just what you have to do. You'll have alone time in the car later.
Obviously, you'd be dealing with a completely different age group. High schoolers don't need the same kind of hand-holding that elementary age kids do. They're capable of working independently, which they should be doing anyway to one degree or another. You don't need to do a song and tap dance number every day, but you do need to show that you're interested.
You have to be authentic with teenagers. That doesn't mean revealing every gory detail of your life, but they can tell when you're not being genuine. It goes without saying that you can't just go into a shell and shut them out, but forced smiles and fake energy don't cut it. We all have different personality types. They are human beings. They don't expect every teacher to be exactly the same. Be yourself, but read the room and you'll be fine.
This is the response. As an introvert, I can tell you my students enjoy being in my classroom, not because I’m outgoing and extroverted, but because I meet them where they are and I build relationships with as many of them that I can.
I know teachers who would identify as introverts. I might be one myself. I am often just as happy alone as I am with other people. I do get energized when interacting with my students.
I think that most teachers have a teacher persona that is somewhat distinct from their daily persona. You can make your teacher persona more energetic and outgoing than you naturally are.

I think if you’re confident in yourself and your work.. you will do great. High schoolers are so much fun, but they will test you bc that’s just what they do lol
I definitely don't think you have to be an extrovert to teach or teach well. Plenty of great teachers are introverts and have the complete respect of their students. I say go for it!
I think the only thing about being an introvert in a high school setting is the ability to lead your class and step up when needed to maintain control. After that students will learn from you and enjoy your class.
Do special needs students they will appreciate it way more if u do high school /high school kids are hard /tough on nice or shy teachers
Sorry, but still laughing at your naivety about being able to recharge on the weekends. You apparently don’t have a family or a second job yet. I have also found the math doesn’t work to recharge in two days what was expended in 5 (and often 4). Sorry to burst that bubble. That said, when you enjoy the work, you still have some left in the tank on Friday. So why not step out of that shell? Give it a shot!
As an introvert who retired a few years ago from a 39-year high school science teaching career I say go for it. When you are in your classroom it’s your show…you will open up when working with your students. Also, you likely are a great listener and will be very good at answering student questions, not talking over them while they are talking and fully answering their questions. I’ve observed otherwise good extroverted teachers who often didn’t answer kids thoroughly because they had a hard time to stop and really listen. Also, you can set a good conversational and respectful tone and rapport with kids if you balance your talking with theirs. People like us understand why we have two ears and only one mouth! Go get ‘em!
an Introvert HS Teacher here, I am an award winning teacher and have had much success, but I am constantly drained from dealing with so many people per day and constantly being "on". It is an issue for me. Introversion is not about being shy necessarily, but about where you gain/recharge energy- by being alone or w/ partner (introvert) or do you gain/recharge energy in large groups (extrovert)
Coffee or tea. I mean all it takes is a drug and no one will ever know.
I became a better teacher after acquiring a coffee habit. I'm being completely serious.
