Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

Absolutely. Take the gig while something better comes your way. I took a demotion at a place I don’t like, but I’m still applying to “better” jobs.
oof yeah a lot of us are struggling with that. Personally I can't string enough consistent gigs in this economy. I have a screener for a low paid gig and a highly paid interesting full time position. If I were you take the low paid consultancy gig and continue interviewing. Your head is in the right place.
Having some income coming in even if it's lower than what you're used to, can help ease the financial strain while you explore other opportunities. Starting a consulting side hustle with the nonprofit could also be a smart move. It could give you some flexibility and potentially supplement your income depending on how much time and effort you're able to put into it
