1. Make sure you know Excel.
2. Identify people who work on things you are interested, and make yourself available to them.
3. Find the pillar 2 rules and read them. They’re new to everybody so you might as well start on the ground floor.
4. Understand that the role shifts over time. You start as a doer (staff) and then eventually a teacher / reviewer, and then sales (sr mgr/ppmd). Being tax technical makes everything easier BUT you need to understand processes / be disciplined in your approach.
5. Bring people along and get people to bring you along. Make their investment in you worth their while and then do the same when you are the teacher. Ultimately you’re only as good as your team.
Thank you
