Any good resources to learn VBA?
I have received offer from Shell and SAP labs is in final stage salary discussion. Shell is offering 6 lacs more than @SAP labs. I have tried to negotiate a lot from SAP but they are not ready. They are putting conditions like give your full commitment to join then only we'll release offer letter. I am currently looking for work life balance with growth. Should I join @SAP considering its a Product based and good WLB and learning? Teck Stack - Java/Micro-services/cloud YOE - 11yrs

If you're smart, you can teach yourself pretty much everything in SALT if you have strong I/f background.
I get my consulting from my compliance engagements and when you own their process it’s a lot easier to sell the consulting stuff. They go hand in hand. So as you move up you won’t have a choice but you won’t be preparing returns anymore. There’s a bigger picture that you don’t see when you’re head down in compliance. But if you don’t like compliance you can talk to you coach or RL to see if they can get you onto more consulting stuff.
Reach out to a partner in another group and volunteer! Also tell your manager you’d like to try some other projects. I’m in Property Tax and we always need a hand in the spring!

How do you market yourself when all you have is interest in exploring something different but no real experience in the area? I have been doing compliance for almost 5 years and feel stuck
You can get into SALT SUT consulting. Having understanding of SALT income/franchise is your strength to get into consulting and it is much easier to learn.
This is within the same practice, and with the income/franchise background you can do sales/use tax. I have coworkers did this and doing well and I have motor fuel excise tax background (which has nothing similar to sales/use tax) and switched to sales/use tax consulting 3 years ago.
