I’m looking to explore consulting as part of my career experience, but having difficulty breaking into the consulting firms (Accenture, Korn Ferry, Slalom, Deloitte et. al). I’ve been in the industry close to 6 years and have been an in-house designer for multinational companies. Does anyone have any pointers? My portfolio is currently in update mode and looking to complete by end of August.

So...I started my own company in 2018. Things went off like a ROCKET. Its a small Remodeling company and we specialize in higher end bathrooms and kitchens etc. I love working with my hands. I also have my education though and...I am going to return to tech work. I just wonder..when is enough enough? When do you pull the plug?

I’m about to give my notice at a firm I’ve been at for the majority of my legal career. They’ve recently offered me non-equity partnership (which I’ve accepted), w equity partnership on the horizon. I messed up my screenshare in a meeting with 2 colleagues and showed my personal email that had scheduling info for my onsite interviews with another company. Wondering everyone’s take on password-protecting your UX portfolios? I have some case studies from a previous B2B startup I worked at. Although the work isn’t under an NDA, I’m wondering if it’d appear more professional if there were a password. What's the protocol for adding internal portal mockups for a client to your portfolio? Is it expected, something that requires asking permission but is still generally OK, or frowned upon? I'm a developer trying to pivot to UX.
