Currently having 12.36lacs CTC, YOE 8, Business analyst skill, other skills power Bi, SQl, SAP Hana, before 1st round informed recruiter expected CTC as 20lacs not aware BOnus included in IQVIA.
Now that i have submitted all the docs, waiting for HR discussion. My expectation is now 25lacs fixed. Can i say this now to HR when they call?
Ps no idea about grade. What is the scope for negotiation?
Great investment boo!
1. Get your bonus first.
2. Pay for materials with a credit card for points.
3. Pay off said credit card when charges clear (you don't need to wait until the end of the billing cycle).
4. I'm not tax, so I don't know this answer, see if these materials apply to education credits in taxes (Lifetime learning credit).
5. Be proud for making a good investment in yourself that will pay dividends down the road.
6. At least take yourself out for a nice steak dinner for all your effort. And yes, get dessert. Good luck!
Probably becker since I get 50% discount as a return student. I passed 3 parts with Becker, so I think it works for me. I just need to come up with a better study plan since two parts expired already.
Read as good investment into your future (I did the same thing).
Can you just ask one of the 1st/2nd years if you can use their materials?
I agree with EY 1, that's actually a great way to invest your bonus. It'll pay way bigger rewards in the future if you compare it to not passing the CPA!
Also, did you complete majority of the parts in Becker. If you can prove you did 90% of the hw.. they can do the Becker promise and it's $195 per part..
We can argue with the IRS saying the CPA license is required for promotion, as such it qualifies as "improve job skills " 😉
Call them first and explain things before you drop all that money.
Get a first year to share the code.
Prob drop some cash their way.
OP...I'm in the same boat...passed three parts first attempt...procrastinated (got busy)...once I remembered about the fourth it was too late
Returning student/competitor Savings
If you are a returning student or you previously paid (or your employer paid) for a competitive review course, you may qualify for a 50 percent savings on our CPA Exam Review course. If you are eligible for either of these discounts, please call to enroll: 1-877-CPA-EXAM. Returning student/competitor savings cannot be combined with any other Becker program, discount, offer, or promo code. Proof of purchase of a competitor’s product required and must be worth a minimum of $750.
Btw for login info only one person can log in at a time. Becker fucked us.
Ey3 good shit. I will just do that
EY 3, i studied on my personal computer (downloaded software), work computer (downloaded software) and online log in. Not everything get synchronized, so I can't prove that I have went thru 100% of the lectures or 95% of homework. But appreciate your input though :)
Which course are you going with?
I'll retake them all soon
OP, what is this 50% discount that you mentioned as a return student ? How does it work? I might have to buy a section again for my last exam
Deloitte 1, I'm not sure about asking a first year. What if we're preparing for the same part? Also I feel that I'll be obliged to write a good review if he/she is working with me.
Deloitte doesn't get senior promotion bonus. That stinks 🙃
