Are there any Deloitte penetration testers or managers over the Pentesting team in here? I found a role and I was trying to connect to the right person to help increase my chances of getting viewed for the role and be the lucky winner. Hello fellow introverts! Instead of talking to people I have an Instagram account to shout my opinions about books into the void. Id love it if any of you would be willing to take a look and give me feedback on the reviews. I feel like they aren't quite at the level I'm aiming for.

I was in a similar position and felt immensely better once I left the firm. Is a job really worth your mental health
Definitely not, but it’s scary and I hope I’m making the right choice. It’s just that I worked in industry before and honestly didn’t learn much or have a whole lot of responsibility so I’m afraid of stagnating
I’m in the same place that you are. Staff 2 with clinical depression. Just quit my job and I already feel a huge burden off my shoulders. It’s scary, but it’s going to be best for my health. I’m going to another industry making the same amount working 50hrs per week
It’s good to know I’m not alone. Out of curiosity, do you feel your depression affected your job performance at EY? Or were you just not happy with the job? But best of luck to you and hope the new job goes well! I’ll probably start updating my resume soon
Part of the issue is I’m not sleeping enough (I’ve gotten a sleep study and am borderline narcoleptic), and I’m clinically depressed, so my cognitive ability is terrible. I’m not very close to my counselor or manager but should I disclose this? I’m struggling and can’t take too much more
I tried some different medication to help me stay awake but unfortunately nothing helped :( I’m going to see another sleep doctor tomorrow though so hopefully I can try again
