Hi all.
Has anyone in IBM been on bench for more than 4 months here?
I have been on bench for almost 4 months now & have been getting automated mails asking me to get assigned to a project by searching one by myself, else necessary action might be taken.
And are there any chances of being straightaway fired based on these automated mails?
I would genuinely need an advise from someone who is aware of this kind of situation.
Thanks in advance

What will the project dynamics be on a project staffed with 3mdps, a PL, and myself, a summer UG intern? Just got staffed and will be hearing more on Monday from the team, but it came across as an interesting staffing composition.
Have the feeling I'll be making quite a few slides as the only junior. Anyone staffed on a similar case composition?
Is it safe to join Verizon now ?

Schedule a meeting with your boss and HR, and explain the situation. Be prepared to defend your work and explain what you've accomplished in your role. If you have data or examples to support your case, be sure to bring them up.
Whatever you do, don’t lash out at your boss or become defensive. Remain polite and professional at all times.
If I were in your situation, I would say that I have been a great asset to the company and have been able to grow the community significantly. I would also mention that my boss has been trying to get me fired for awhile now, and that I think it has more to do with personal issues than with my work performance.
You should begin by drafting a clear and concise explanation of your role within the company and your contributions to its success. Next, you should emphasize the unique skills and knowledge you bring to the table, and explain how firing you would be counterproductive for the company.
Tie what you do to revenue and proactively present that monthly/quarterly if not in this role in the next. And set goals/metrics and report back on them often.
I had a boss once that felt that way and he wasn’t someone I wanted to work with, so I started looking for a new job. In my situation the work didn’t inspire me, so I’d lost my spark and found it again in my next roles. It did feel good on my way out to put together a document of all my duties and who I was transitioning what to/what would need to be passed to a new hire and he went back and told CEO he actually did need my role.
