So I was offered a role in Strategy Consulting in after 2 years in Risk Consulting however, after 2 years I’ve only worked on Internal audit engagements few ad hocs such as updating risk register and the delegation of authority matrix.

Honestly speaking I am doing good and I am up for promotion in October however I am not fully enjoying my time but I fear that the move would not be a good and I can’t hit the ground running which scares me.

What is the longest you have seen someone with less than 50% utilization stay in a firm?

I quit my previous job approximately 5-6 months ago due to toxic culture and being pressured to commit fraud… I fear hiring managers see that I’ve been out of work for this time and may assume I was fired or laid off. They offer two options: the “traditional” course (which lasts around 2.5 months) and an extended 6-month course. Long story short, I regret choosing the office that I chose. I’d like to transfer to another office - is that a difficult ask? I’m licensed in the state I’d like to transfer to. Have opportunity to work in my firm’s London satellite office for about a year and a half, and then come back to NY headquarters. In good standing with firm and have M&A and capital markets experience. Did not start traveling abroad until my bar trip (did not grow up with the money for trips like that) and think it would be a good personal and professional experience. Any thoughts / advice?
