Hi Friends, any news for ITA (C2) promotion?
I'll be joining tw as UI Lead, soon.
I'm a javascript/react developer since inception of my career & haven't worked much on CICD/JENKINS and similar technology.
Should I be worried that as a lead I don't know these and will it affect by job security?
Ps- I'm good at UI,js, react etc.

Experts please help.

I keep trying to recruit at non targets. Nice, cheap, grateful! Can't beat that for quality talent.
Your most important consideration should be succeeding. I assure you that when I (as a managing partner) see MBA I want that person to prove why their MBA won’t guide their behavior not that it will. MBAs by definition need a stable income to pay loans and in most cases they all excel at advice and talk talk talk. I look for (in this order, as do my c-suite clients) hunger and drive, intelligence, curiosity, a desire to create the new and break existing models and then where you happened to be educated (which was mostly studying old case studies). Network cannot be underrated for a great school or MBA but that old golf course approach will die quickly in today’s environment that we and our clients face. Work hard, be smart, be assertive, you will rise. Period.

Don’t get your point @KPMG4.
My point was to see how many of us made it w/o huge debts and/or a fancy school name. I sure don’t care about the school names but employers and recruiters apparently (for the most part) continue to care for at least 5 years post graduation. I’m in the < 5 years phase.
Break? Young? Sure!
I meant I work at one of he firms, not the schools
Non target...full fellowship...no debt...came in the same as all those other boneheads several years ago
Here 🙋♀️ non-target school and no debt.
Heeey, fellow non-target here and doing great. Idk, no one talks about schools anymore once you’re past Associate level, but it’s weird sometimes to feel like an outsider. I was a first gen so I’m just glad to have a profession...
Non target school. It was a big state school but Booz never recruited there. Doing just fine.
Target. Zero debt. Full ride. 🤷♀️
🦄 college dropout (left early so I could learn)
Non targets don't get the big bucks
I mean target school Senior salary is like 140-150k for big4. Non targets aren't going to get that offer.
I agree if non targets work hard and promote they can catch up. The quickest and easiest way to catch up if you're behind is by jumping ship
@bcg1 I was talking for strictly big4. MBB salaries are standardized per firm. Which I like better.
D9 same here (except 20 years) Convinced ‘target’ and MBB are FB terms.
I think the strangest part is realizing I'm one of a handful of alums from my school at the firm. There are more people from my high school than my college here.
🙌
^Yaas !
🙋♂️ although in my first year here as an exp hire but was told I'm doing very well on my client work

Nontarget, spent two years in financial services before I lucked into Accenture
Online MBA, came in at full MBA SC salary. Debt was about equal to signing bonus. Booyah!
