It’s easily possible. We’re already over 1M shots per day. If we play our cards right we may even get to 200M in 100 days.
Yeah it’s the second one. I know three people personally who have had the option now but opted out. That’s out of the 10 I know who were given the option at all for shots this early. And since the US adult population (kids and teens aren’t allowed to get the vaccine yet - above 16 may?) is just over 200M you’ll be pushing it to get much higher than 125-150M I’d say.
I don’t think inoculations typically happen at the hospital. Prob one of the rarer places. Pharmacies are the big one. I’d also note, this 100M shots is closer to 50M people.
You need:
Hospitals
Practice offices
Clinics
Care centers / facilities with staff (e.g., elder care home)
Pharmacies (standalone)
Big box with pharmacy (grocery store, etc.)
Anywhere that advertises flu shots is fair game.
There’s plenty of options to get a shot - which each take 20 mins with paperwork. The issue is really distribution planning and not qualified people to do the injection.
Fauci disagrees with you SM1. 100M doses = 100M shots.
“Fauci said that by the end of Mr. Biden's first 100 days in office, there will be people "who will have gotten two doses and then some that are still on their first dose."
"When you add them all up and you look at shots, it's 100 million shots in the arms of people within the first 100 days," he said.
Gh1 - agreed, though this requires the same body to be mobile instead of in store. For this purpose, I’d just count them under pharmacy though the reach expands.

Bottleneck is likely to be logistics: getting the vaccines to the right places at the right times and administering them on time. Storage and transport is no joke for these vaccines.
I would suggest actually reading the playback that the CDC put out, because you are not thinking about distribution in remotely the same way someone who works in this space does.

No because places like Gillette stadium are being used as mass vaccination sites, so both your 6k and the capacity are off. Some super sites are also open 24 hours per day
Pro
Not NYC stadiums
My friend run a vaccination clinic in a large city and they use large facilities, not hospitals. They do typically 600 a day and they are not super ramped up yet.
The NFL stadium and NASCAR track in my area both started mass vaccination clinics this past weekend. Think they were shooting for about 40k people in those two locations alone.
They did a million yesterday so it’s theoretically possible
