PwC India - Manager position. SAP. Any comments?
So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

This is clearly not going anywhere and you're spending way too much time on it with zero return or result. Learn how to let go and detach when job searching. After a few attempts and doing what you can within the appropriate social norms, there's nothing more you can do and it will be more productive to move on to the next. Know that if and when someone is really interested in you and ready, they will contact you themselves.
How am I spending too much time on it? I add any recruiter or senior exec I come across, and I've been asking multiple I've met with for feedback. I just thought the behavior was weird.
Maybe it’s an older dudes perspective, but it feels like your just reading too much in the digital tea leaves. If they wanted to talk with you they’d say so. Also, youre kidding yourself if you think LinkedIn notices track intention or even behavior that accurately, maybe he left your profile open in a tab or he accidentally tapped it, maybe it’s a bug. What’s the difference? If they want to hire you they’ll find you.
For me it’s always better to add a recruiter, they move around like anyone else and will remember you in the future. I’ve gotten jobs that way, there’s no reason to get hung up on your own definition of digital manners.
Then block him and move on
I had something similar happen to me, I usually remove the add request if they been to my page and didn't add me back and then just remember to never deal with those people again.
Agreeing with the others - block this person. They’re clearly not worth your time and it sounds like the constant notification about their views is becoming stressful to you :(
It is rude behavior but to be honest you sound a bit like those people who get mad when they see someone’s read receipt about their iMessage and then don’t get a response. It’s annoying as crap but the anxiety over it is not doing ya favors.
Focus on your priorities, because it’s clear the hiring manager is focusing on theirs.
View my profile constantly for weeks. Sent him a message asking for feedback on how to improve my resume and interview skills, and was left on read. Why ignore me but stalk my page? I'm so confused.
