Is 1.5 years at EY as a Senior worth anything in consulting or industry?

I wish to exit into a smaller less hectic boutique or into industry but I'm not sure if I should stay a bit longer with a big name or grab the first exit opp I get.

Curious what’s a fair salary in MA? Interviewing for BCG PL role as an experienced hire. Have Bain experience post MBA for 2 years and 2 years with industry after that. Want to go back to consulting but different geography. Was told 4 interviews in total. I am now waiting for my 6th interview schedule. 5th interview was with head of region. Is this process normal ? All interviewers were with partners. Should I even have any hopes or are they just exploring. Would be helpful if someone has been through experienced hiring at BCG.

My brother has 8 YOE post his Masters with a US bank in their rates trading division as a software developer- managing, supporting and developing software for pricing trade executions, risk management and reporting requirements for the trading desk. He wants to pivot out of banking and maybe look for an opportunity with FAANG or with MBB/Tier2 consulting. Odds T2/Big 4 will follow MBB pay bumps?

If a recruiter asks me if I’ve spoken to another recruiter at the company, is it okay if I lie and say no? Or should I just be honest and say yes? I’ve heard of instances where candidates have been ghosted if they say they’ve been in contact with another recruiter. In my case, the recruiter I was in contact with messaged me on LinkedIn and never followed up after our 5 minute phone conversation. I really want this job so I don’t want to mess anything up before getting an interview.

Told a friend of mine in tech I was considering moving to BCG. He asked me if I would have to move to Boston.

I followed up by asking what he thought the top consulting firms were. "I'd guess PwC and then McKinsey are the best. I've also heard of KPMG, Deloitte, and Bain, but I don't know much about them."

Just a reminder that outside our bubble no-one really cares about firm prestige etc.
