Yes. Midwest is cheap AF. Staff II in NYC barely crack $70K in a much higher COL area.

like

Yes. Staff II in the large Texas cities make less than that.

like

Absolutely. When I was a staff 2 I lived in Boston and made 59...this was not too long ago either

like

No

Yes

@EY3, I'm a Staff II in a major Texas city and make $67k

^Well Dallas and Houston are likely both much higher COL than Midwest (non-Chicago)

Making 65 in LA so yeah...

Yes

@EY1 - you must be a non-campus hire or some other exception applies because they give campus hires a lot less and the maximum raise that staff 1s got this year does not even bring them to 60k.

Hello sharks,

Recently attended the TCS interview for the role of cloud architect and it went well.

HR asked me to upload all the documents and verified.
Then HR called me to discuss the salary and told me that she will inform the management.

Almost 3 working days after the call, haven't received any updates! Tried to call HR but not picking up the call. I assume it's because of these continuous holidays.

Is this usual!

Please let me know your thoughts and suggestions.

Question for the Biglaw Bowl: How common is it to take a pay cut when being promoted from associate to income partner? I had heard about this happening at some lower ranked V100 firms. But now that I’m more senior and my friends are making partner, it sounds like it’s a lot more common than I thought and happens at firms where I wouldn’t expect it. Does anyone here have any insight into this? How common is it, how much of a pay cut, and how long until your pay catches up to associate pay?

I (36F) am married to another woman (34F) and we have a baby (5moF). We split all childcare, cleaning, meal prep, errands etc fairly evenly and it works well. Maybe she cooks more than I do bc she likes it, and I clean more bc I need to have a clean house. My friend (35F) recently took a business trip and literally put a binder together with instructions for her husband re: daycare drop off and pick up, what to feed the kids, when to take out the trash and so on.
