[query] Is it a good idea to say a firm No due to medical reasons to a new night shift project I'm hired in?Accenture
I recently got a night shift project (2 days ago) that requires me to work from 10:30pm till 7:30am
I'm not comfortable with these timings and I'm thinking to ask my manager to put me on Bench (Due to medical reasons that involve mental health)
Is it a nice idea to say a firm No to a new project I'm hardlocked into, due to night shifts?

They say to get into this field, you have to understand the foundations of computer systems before you can understand how to secure them. You need the real world experience, kind of like how doctors are residents before they are doctors. I would start in IT support analysis, networking or systems admin.
ex FAANG here: Yes, learn your IT and coding. Come back when you’re done after 1-3 years of real experience. Grab certs. Network with people. You “could” find an entry role in SOC. But the pay won’t be great and the modern security teams with 0 tech background are non performers that will be devastating to your career later. Don’t skip foundations or you’ll be a big 4 weasel
