Is anyone back in the office yet? Seems like post-holidays all firms have been extremely lax with in-office expectations. Wondering when this will change

Once omicron has subsided there will be an industry-wide re-evaluation

like

Agreed. I feel like once this latest wave subsides there will be a big push for RTO, as firms are realizing WFH promotes even less company loyalty (i.e. more job hopping), and training for junior staff is significantly stunted

No, people may choose to go on but few do. This is since 2020.

No.

Joined the firm in Q3 2021 and have only stepped foot in the local office twice - once for a new joiner meet and greet and once for a lunch. The client is still working remotely, so I haven’t been on-site there either.

No. My office closed again with the Omicron surge, but was fully optional anyway.

Our offices are all open. Some are in every day, some a few days, some people still prefer to WFH. It’s a mix.

Don’t you guys work at the client location?

Started with my firm late 2021 and it seems like mostly associates are going into the office these days. However, as scientific/engineering consultants a lot of work is done in lab spaces so it’s kinda necessary

Hi everyone, I’m an architectural designer (from Europe) with 1.5 yrs experience. I’m working for a practice in San Francisco, full-time from the office, getting 25 an hour. It is so expensive to live here, I am struggling to make things work. Is this a normal salary for someone of my experience or should I ask for a raise? I don’t want to be greedy but it’s so expensive out here… Thank you 🌈

Currently a Investment Consiltant at WFA making $62k with a $7k bonus. Both are in office positions in SLC, UT. TIA

Hi folks, I had a quick question around remote work. My office is in San Francisco but I worked remotely from NJ for clients on the WC. How should I answer the question, “did you earn income working remotely by providing the services in a different state than the state you originally engaged employment with it”? If it matters, I never set foot in CA.
