Selected in a Big4 firm and one MNC shortlisting is going on, hopefully will be selected within 7-8 days. The MNC will be offering good package, but Big4 is just giving 20% hike in my salary and waiting for my decision to say yes or no,to proceed further with offer letter. Query :1. If I say yes to the Big4, and when they issue the offer letter, and then I reject, can they blacklist me. 2. Also if accept the offer and say no, in that case can they blacklist me from their firm.EY Deloitte KPMG PwC

Does anyone have any insight into accounting roles at Amazon, particularly in the Arlington/DC area? An Amazon recruiter reached out about accounting roles, but the posts in this bowl are about Seattle. Trying to decide if the culture/wlb/pay is even worth looking into since it sounds like the interview process is intense. Base pay seemed pretty low in other posts, but they were a year old and for Seattle.

At this point I’m willing to take a $40k pay cut to have a life.
For real!
I just accepted a job with a 22% pay cut. Month end close is max 45 hour week. The pay cut doesn’t factor in the bonus that’s based on company performance. If it is and I get max bonus, I’m only out 6%. But worth it to not be client facing and working busy season hours
Moved from HCOL to LCOL
I'd like to know this as well. Not at a big 4 firm, but getting paid nearly the same. How do I transition out of public when every place with a decent salary wants 10+ years of experience. Anywhere I go, out of public comes at a drastic paycut that I cannot take while living in a HCOL area.
you would think PA would want to jack up their pay to keep their team happy and be competitive. I do think their mindset of treating their people as depreciating assets instead of appreciating assets cause PA firms to be in the state that they are in. The majority of accountants work in PA cuz they could not find a better job in industry so they are stuck making lower salary for the rest of their lives unless they suck up for 14-19 years to make partners.
I left for a senior role in industry and I got a 20% increase. The only drawback is my raises and bonuses are lower than what big 4 offers
