There are definitely credit cards where you can get more cash back considering the current travel environment. I used fidelity visa cause it’s 2% back into my brokerage account so I can reinvest. But that would only work if you have a fidelity account. Not sure if other financial services companies do that
Yeah agreed it can be limiting if you don’t want to invest it. I personally prefer to an like the fact that I get unlimited cash back but it’s not worth it if you want the cash now

Like everything else, it depends on your needs. I'm not spending much these days, so I couldn't justify the annual fee. If the perks outweigh the fee for you, then it's a great card. Only you would know how it stacks up against your short term (COVID) needs and longer term (new normal) needs.
