I have a dilemma. I received two different job offers. One from a VERY good consulting firm, the other from a corporate company (pharmaceutical industry). Both in sustainability field, same salary. One 200km from home with possibility to work remotely most of the time (consulting), the other literally 850 meters from my house right now. The corporate company offers 6 months at first with the possibility to get a permanent contract afterwards. The consulting firm proposes a permanent contract. What should I do?

People are going to be tied to their home office geographically. That seems to be the firm’s stance, although how much time spent home/office/client will be project/ leader dependent I suspect.
I've heard it's flexible - given how many people in my practice are afraid to even go meet friends (while I've literally been traveling every week), I doubt that people in consulting will be forced to go to the office. (at least on the west coast).
The only way you get me back in person is if you pay for my JSX flight and my weekly Ruth's Chris run.
so is it just hearsay? or did a memo go out from the chairman?
