Is industry slower or is it just me? I kind of want to get back into consulting and was at D before. Is it even worth coming back right now since the layoffs are happening?

Discuss the pros and cons of a partner who boomeranged out to industry and came back vs. a partner who’s a consulting lifer. Who does better in the long run?

IMO I’ve never seen more pharma jobs open. And I keep seeing so many people in non-pharma looking for new jobs... well, we’ve got them. What’s the disconnect? Why do you think people won’t make the switch?

Have you ever taken a career slow down? I am feeling burnt out from COVID and the incremental responsibilities thrown my way over the last 5+ years. I feel like my health has deteriorated. I like my company, but I want to do less. I don’t need to be a HR Director, CHRO, etc. With a career slowdown, I am prepared for a lower compensation and would want decent benefits. Any lessons learned or success stories about career slowdowns?

I currently work in risk assurance and have a strong background in data analytics. I’m not really sure what my options are looking forward or where to look. Any ideas?

Seeking advice on career paths within tech after bizops. Currently in bizops and former consultant, and while the work is fine I’ve realized that bizops feels similar to consulting and in the long term I’m looking for a role that has more ownership and ideally more analytical. I’m an L&E associate entering my 5th year at a mid-sized regional law firm (approx. 400 attorneys). Barred in PA/NJ. Billed 2100 last year but my requirement is 1950.
