Is it normal to feel like you aren’t happy in your current position? I started my career a year ago and got a promotion, but I still feel like this isn’t what I want do. What do you all do when you get this feeling? Should I start looking for another company I might want to be in more?

How difficult is it to transition into banking when your experience in mainly from Fortune 500 businesses like FP&A?

How does one tell their boss (owner of the company) that you are burnt out? The sheer volume of work is exhausting and I haven’t taken a true vacation as we are a small company so if something urgent comes to my email I feel like I must respond. I was given an additional title and more responsibilities last year as well but only a 3% raise for it.

I am asking this as I see SDE making much more salary than data scientist. Also experience and skill set required to become SDE is much less than Data scientist. For becoming SDE you need DSA and System design but Data scientist position require hell lot of skills. Also it is easier to find a job as SDE .
