I have two years of automotive/aerospace manufacturing experience and am looking for new opportunities. I recently applied to a Solution Engineer - Commercial Manufacturing, Automotive, Energy (MAE) role at Salesforce, and it sounds like a great fit. Is anyone willing to offer me a referral or advice on how to move forward in the hiring process? Salesforce

You can create a life that doesn't depend on JUST fulfillment at work - leverage what is good about your position and use it for your advantage. If you can spend weekends and evenings figuring out what your ideal month/day/location would look like and you your current position or industry to get there - you can "make" a life that makes you happy even if the job doesn't fully do it
3.5 years in, and still trying to figure out what I should be doing instead
Pretty normal feeling, sometimes we have a certain perception of a job/position but then reality shows otherwise. One thing you can do is stick to your job and research for the job/company you wish to work for. Try to speak to people who are currently in those jobs/companies then you can make a solid decision. Right now you are in a good position where you have income and have the freedom to actually take time to figure out what you want to do. Best of luck!
That is true, thank you!
4 years in and i know more people that feel this way than don’t
