Got messaged by a C3 . ai recruiter. Read that wlb is bad and that the interview process is absurdly long, but the Glassdoor reviews are 4.2 and can't find actual hours worked posted by anyone. How's the culture really? I'd be aiming for DS consulting, something more functional but with DS/ML concepts as my differentiator.

The cloud platforms each have data related certs (aws, azure, gcp)
I think those are more about cloud implementations - e.g. using the Azure ML SDK, deployment, configs, etc. Though the AWS ML cert does include some tech-agnostic questions regarding data science in practice (e.g. handling imbalanced classes).
You might use Kaggle to build a portfolio, you can focus on visualizations or algorithms there and there are forums with really useful discussions either way
...framework for what to focus on. Thanks!

+1 for cloud certs, though they're not really needed. I also like the Certified Analytics Professional curriculum as it was a few years ago, but it has zero resume value and idk if they've changed it (nor have the cert)
There is a Tensorflow cert and cloud providers have certs.
