For indoor (non edible) plants you can sprinkle some systemic granules in the soil. But if you keep bringing more pests into your house it will be a never ending battle .
The best prevention might be to just inspect the plants frequently. And if you think fruit you're bringing into the house is carrying pests, be sure to wash it and inspect it carefully. If you put some gritty material, like diatomaceous earth, on the soil surface that can deter crawling insects from getting on plants. Insecticidal soap is good for eliminating bugs you discover, always try to keep a bottle of it around.

Do you mean like fungus gnats? Or fruit flies? What kind of pests?
Is used cinnamon..
It depends on what kind of pests you are talking about. If they are gnats you can put apple cider vinegar in a small dish and then add just a few drops of dawn dish soap. I promise in like two days they will be completely gone like they were never there.
It's gonna be a never ending battle unless I stop buying random fruits :(
Clean your house plants at least once a month with a mixture of 2 1/2 c water, 1/2 TBS isopropyl alcohol, 1 tsp Dawn dish soap, and if you have it 2 - 3 drops of peppermint oil. I put it in a spray bottle and call it "sassy plant juice." On succulents, spray them and let them sit 10 min then rinse them off when you water them. None of the ingredients will hurt their roots. On my tropicals I spray them all over, then wipe them off. Keep them out of direct sun for a few hours. If it's fungus gnats, use yellow sticky traps for the adults ( I get mine on Amazon) and add a mosquito dunk or other mosquito killer to the water a couple of hours before you water them to take care of the larvae.
