It’s been a while since I interviewed. I’m shocked by the amount of time the entire process takes!

What’s normal when it comes to interview timeline from the initial contact to the recruiter till offer? Here’s my experience:

Initial contact- week 1
First interview- week 3
Second interview- week 4
Third interview- week 4
Offer- week 5
Negotiations- week 6

End results? Over a month of back and forth trying to settle into a role. Between back and forths w recruiter, multiple interviews, etc!😱

I asked for a signing bonus and a 110k salary. If you are a senior, you should definitely be applying and just see what comes up. Crazy the market for seniors right now

I recently did a job interview and I made it clear to the HR my expectation salary is 60k a year, non negotiable.
Today I got the job offer and they are offering me 54k. My current company is making me 50k with tons of benefits which is why I am asking for 60k.

I have a in person(online, 4 hours - 4 people) technical interview coming up and I have been practicing my coding for the past 3 weeks. The only thought I've been having is "what if I can't solve the coding question?" I am still fairly new to the software engineer scene and the position is for a level 1 software engineer.
Does it essentially end my chances if at any point I can't solve the question? I mean I will definitely attempt to talk it through, ask question, but no progress in code. 🤷
